Ekiti Civic Center

Units Environmental Sciences in collaboration with CASA Consult. The design of the civic center evolved as most appropriate interpretation to the design brief of Ekiti State Government to create a sense of place and community for the the people of the state to promote unity and collaboration.

The design features elaborate double-volume reception, multipurpose hall for temporary exhibitions, collaboration, ceremonies, meetings, workshops and trainings, museum, auditorium for state functions, cultural events and other public uses, cinemas, and offices. Most of the spaces can be rented out to generate revenue for the maintenance.

The building envelope is designed to promote natural ventilation, daylight, and low maintenance from material selection to placement.
